Ok seriously now. Who likes Pike Place roast from Starbucks? Forget all the other issues people have with Starbucks, this is just about Pike Place roast. I personally love Starbucks, and not really just for the coffee. Its a place where I can go and chill out and enjoy the atmosphere, surf the net, and enjoy a cup of joe.
This post was prompted because from a recent visit to my local Starbucks (or StarBizzles as I like to call it) they now are selling Pike Place in fancy new packaging. I also got an email from Starbucks ranting and raving about the roast. I sometimes wonder who tasted this before going to market. I remember the day it came out and Mahalo Daily interviewed people seeing what their reaction was, and well I didn’t see many positive responses.
Doing a quick Google, you will find a lot of posts about how terrible this roast is. I personally have had it a couple times and it tastes like dirty butthole to me. I love Cafe Verona and Organic Serena blends however. So I don’t understand why StarBucks continues to ignore (what appears to me) a large portion of their customers do not like it. Do you like Pike Place roast?
P.S. I should also mention I think Komodo Dragon blend takes like a melted goodyear tire.
